FQHC board members are invited to join us for our South Florida Regional Governance Training at HCN in Miami, Florida.
Participants will have an opportunity to network with peers and deepen their understanding about key aspects of the Health Center Program (HCP) as it relates to their role and responsibilities as board members. Areas we’ll cover include the history and impact of the Health Center Program and movement, key HCP requirements and policies the board is responsible for, oversight mechanisms and the distinction between governance and management. Lunch will be provided.
Facilitators:
This training is hosted by the Florida Association of Community Health Centers, the state’s Primary Care Association (PCA), which is supported by HRSA to advance the work of community health centers in Florida. Collectively, the facilitators have over 50 years of experience working with community health centers. Learn more about our speakers, here.
Participants should make their own lodging arrangements. For convenience we’re providing a list of hotels near the training site.
